About Litro
Litro is a free guide to fuel prices in Cyprus. It shows today’s prices at the stations listed by the Price Observatory and ranks them by true saving: what you keep after paying for the fuel it takes to get there.
True saving in one paragraph
A cheaper station is only worth it if the difference in price pays for the drive. Litro takes the station nearest to you as the baseline. For every other station it multiplies the price difference by a typical fill of 50 litres, then subtracts the fuel you would burn on the extra kilometres there and back. If more than €0.05 is left, that is your true saving. If not, the station is marked “not worth the drive”.
true saving = (nearest price − station price) × litres − cost of the extra drive
How true saving worksWhere the data comes from
Prices
From the Price Observatory of the Consumer Protection Service, where stations list their prices. Litro checks it several times a day and shows every price exactly as listed.
Stations and opening hours
Names, addresses and positions on the map come from the Observatory too. Where a position is missing or wrong, Litro corrects it by hand; a station without a usable position isn’t shown until it’s corrected. Opening hours and facilities come from OpenStreetMap.
Road distances
Worked out in advance from OpenStreetMap road data with the open-source OSRM route planner, so your position never has to leave your device.
Maps
Map tiles from OpenFreeMap. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence.
Free, independent, no account
Litro is free to use. There are no accounts, no ads and no paid placements: the order depends only on price and distance. What you choose on the site stays in your browser; the privacy page has the details.
Litro is an independent project. It is not run by the Consumer Protection Service or by any fuel company.
Made for Cyprus
Litro covers the stations the Price Observatory lists in five districts: Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos, Famagusta. Every page is in Greek, English and Russian.
